Northern Ireland Recording Studio :: Komodo Recording Studios :: Mobile Recording, Mixing, Mastering, Duplication, PA, Graphics

We have recorded many praise bands, of all shapes and sizes. Whether you are in an accomplished festival worship-leading band or a small group of enthusiastic witnessing christians, we understand that your aims may be different to those of most musicians. Although the studio is ultimately the best place for the most professional sound, your own church is probably a better option for capturing the spontaneous worship necessary for the CD.

With our mobile recording van, we are fully equipped to visit your premisses. We can bring our own drumkit, keyboards, guitars and amps if necessary. (most church drumkits have seen better days) If necessary we will visit your premises to ensure that they are appropriate for a recording session.

The studio itself has a relaxed atmosphere. Praise bands are either recorded all together, to ensure that the whole point of the music is not lost in the production, or can be recorded as any commercial band would, typically involving a metronome and overdubbing the guitars and vocals seperately after having recorded the drums to perfection.

Using Protools with a wide selection of microphones, quality preamps, solid-state and valve outboard gear and tasty plug-ins, we can get you the sound you need. (If that all sounded a bit too technical, don't hesitate to give us a call so we can reassure you…)

Mastering is the last process that a recording undergoes before duplication. KOMODO offers mastering as a separate service for anyone wanting the best sound out of an already mixed tape or CD, but we also include it in all of our own recordings. Once the mixes are complete, our mastering engineer ensures that the different songs work well side by side, and that the final CD plays back faithfully on as many systems as possible. This is achieved by an objective experienced professional using the latest in sound technology. The process can range from a simple job of level changes and subtle EQ to quite radical surgical procedures to bring lifeless muddy recordings up to their full potential.

You can either design your own, or we can help you put together graphics for your CD. KOMODO takes care of the whole process.

If you are designing your own graphics, please submit the element of the design (layers) seperately, as we often need to make small changes which cannot be made if the text is embedded in the background.

Please submit your graphic ideas in the following formats (preferably PC):

.tif | .jpg | .bmp | .gif | .psd

KOMODO offers Cassette and CD duplication, including on-body printing. A number of CDs with full graphics are included in some of our finance schemes. For details call 02892 688 285.

KOMODO offers Sound Reinforcement to our recording customers at reduced prices. We are fully mobile and can cater for small to medium-sized PA. Thanks to our responsible approach to sound reinforcement, we can promise to ‘reinforce' your sound for the audience, and NOT detract from what is going on on-stage or deafen everyone.

By now you should be confident that we can provide you with the recording that you want, but this website cannot answer specific concerns that you may have about making a CD. Just pick up the phone for friendly and helpful advice.
